Your Voice, Your Vote, Your Meridian

Every election gives us a chance to help the future of our community. Voting is one of our most fundamental rights as Americans, and one of our most powerful tools to ensure your voice is heard.

While this is a right we cherish, making it happen requires dedicated people. I want to thank Ada County Clerk Trent Tripple and the team at Ada County Elections, including the many poll workers, who together make the process secure, efficient, and accessible for all of Meridian residents.

Early voting is underway at Meridian City Hall for the May 20, 2025, election, which is typically one of the busiest early voting locations in Ada County. You can vote here until Friday, May 16 at 5:00 pm. If you requested an absentee ballot and still need to return it, you can drop it off at the secure ballot drop box located outside City Hall on the plaza.

What’s on the Ballot

This election ballot has one question that directly impacts Meridian. The Meridian Library District Board of Trustees is asking voters to select two trustees to help guide the future of our community’s library system.

You can learn more about the Meridian Library District election and the candidates on the ballot by visiting www.mld.org/vote or check out Ada County’s Election Guide for important dates and information.

Make a Voting Plan

If you’re not sure where to vote on Election Day, polling locations are based on your home address and can be easily looked up here. Whether you choose to vote early, by absentee, or in person on May 20, the most important thing is that you cast your ballot.

Even though we host early voting right here at City Hall, I like to vote on Election Day, a tradition I have enjoyed my entire adult life. There’s something meaningful about showing up early in the morning on election day, stepping into a voting booth, and doing my part to continue the most sacred tradition of making my voice heard in our local, state, and national politics. If you're like me, I hope to see you at the polls on Tuesday, May 20.

Get educated and make your mark dark Meridian. Let’s vote with intention and ensure Meridian remains a great place to live, work and raise a family.
